The GeFace Deluxe is Chris's faithful Fuzz Face-circuit build using AC107 germanium transistors — the Mullard/Philips AC107 being one of the finest NOS germanium transistors available for a Fuzz Face circuit, known for their sweet top end, complex harmonic character, and warm, glassy volume knob cleanup response. NOS passive components throughout: Allen-Bradley and Piher carbon comp resistors, vintage CTS potentiometers, vintage capacitors. Hand-wired point-to-point.
The Giordano Guitars '60s S-Model is the Italian family's Stratocaster-style instrument — fitted with the Emerson Custom Blender wiring, which adds a continuous neck pickup blender knob to the standard tone control position, enabling parallel neck+bridge and neck+bridge+middle combinations unavailable on standard 5-way Strat wiring. These blended positions are explored from 04:59.
