The Wolfetone Meaner P90 is hand-wound by Wolfe Macleod with Alnico 2 magnets, wound to approximately 9K — slightly hotter than vintage output and built specifically for the bridge position. The Alnico 2 magnets give it the warm, aged character of an original P90 whose magnets have settled and de-gaussed over decades, without the harsh upper mids that Alnico 5 bridge P90s can produce. The Meaner's character: midrange raunch and nastiness with brightness and presence that cuts through without ever getting spiky. In Jules' hands and through the Cunningham Custom 35's Tweed and Plexi channels, it covers everything from clean singing tones to full-gain fuzz with the R2R Electric Supa MKI.
