In this episode the Righteous Sound Pickups Opal Road Set takes center stage — installed in the Fender Custom Shop 1960 Journeyman Relic Stratocaster with Emerson Custom S5B Blender 5-Way Wiring Kit and Treble Bleed, into the Benson Amps Monarch 2x12" via the Boss Waza Tube Amp Expander. R2R Electric Rangemaster OC44 and Effectrode Tube Vibe feature in the second half.

The Righteous Sound Opal Road is a hybrid of two existing Righteous Sound Stratocaster families: the Opal and the High Road. The Opal is Righteous Sound's '60s-voiced Strat set — bright, chimey, vintage character. The High Road is their higher-output option — more drive into the amp's front end, more girth in the bridge position. The Opal Road combines the magnet specifications of both into one calibrated three-pickup set.

Neck and middle pickups are wound to Opal specs — the '60s vintage character and bloom in the positions where Strat players spend most of their time. The bridge pickup is available in either High Road spec (more output, more push into the amp for players who want a hotter bridge) or Opal spec (traditional Strat bridge voicing, consistent with the neck and middle character). The magnet combination means the Opal Road spans '50s and '60s Strat tones across the full five-position sweep — a wider tonal range than either the Opal or High Road sets deliver on their own.
