This is one of those rigs that makes you forget about settings and just play. The Scumback S75-PVC speaker swap in the limited-edition Milkman 10W Tweed adds punch, authority, and a chewy midrange that feels instantly familiar for anyone who loves an old tweed pushed to the brink — natural compression and snarl when you lean in, articulate and alive at lower volumes.
Explored across bridge, middle, and neck Ron Ellis LRP positions from 01:13, with extensive volume knob cleanup on the cranked amp from 05:08. Reverb Mix and Dwell combinations explored from 08:28, darker tones from 12:21, and lower gain territory from 13:43. Input 2 gets its own dedicated section from 14:53 — more headroom specifically suited to humbuckers, explored with volume cranked from 19:23.
The Reeves Electro May Boost is Markus Reeves' Brian May-inspired treble booster, built around a Micro Electronics C1016R Red Dot transistor, with a genuinely unusual secret weapon: a built-in input transformer wired as an inductor at the pedal's input. This acts as a pickup simulator, letting other pedals sit in front of the May Boost without destroying the tone, while also adding a specific resonant peak around 900Hz — the frequency behind that classic Queen guitar character. Two voicings via toggle switch: Laser Beam (brighter, explored from 19:59) and Dynamite (darker, explored from 22:36). Volume knob cleanup with the May Boost engaged explored from 21:12, and the Effectrode Tube Vibe joins from 23:25.
