Cunningham Amps ZONK MKI Fuzz — Lost in Crystal Canyons
Incredibly limited, equipped with perfectly matched NOS germanium parts, highly sought after, and packing two vintage circuits - a Tone Bender and Zonk Machine in one?! This is the Zonk | MKI by Lost in Crystal Canyons X Cunningham Amps, and it is one of the hottest collaborations this year in the pedal building world. Make sure to follow Robert and Tim for your chance to get one of the very limited drops, which are in the single digits in terms of units per release. https://www.instagram.com/lostincrystalcanyons/ https://www.instagram.com/cunninghamamps/ Robert Hart, guitar and gear lifestyle photographer extraordinaire teamed up with his close friend Tim Cunningham of Cunningham Amps to create this rare recreation (and really, re-imagination) of the two famous vintage circuits in one house. And what a house it is - Robert has brought his stylistic minimalist, classic rock period signature to the design of the solid steel enclosure, NOS knobs, high quality switches, and retro colors. Tim brings the incredible circuits and guts that make this box reach into your very being and make you want to hear all the songs you know through this ZONK | MKI. The pedal comes with a switch to kill the battery circuit so you can leave it wired to your pedalboard without fear of accidentally killing the battery or having to rewire constantly. The second switch is to toggle between the left position with the Zonk Machine and the right position with the Tone Bender MKI. The two knobs adjust overall level (right) and fuzz gain (left), and they are extremely interactive and full of many zones of amazing tonal colors. The pedal cleans up extraordinarily well and is very reactive to pickup selection. Today I am showcasing it with my amazing Frank Brothers Arcade goldtop with Lollar '50s Wind P90s, Bigsby and Emerson Treble bleed into the incredible Benson Amps Vincent. Reverb is provided by the Boss Waza Tube Amp Expander, and the cab is mic'd with a Royer R121 and Shure Sm57 on the cab, and a Royer R10 on the room/back of cab.
