Cunningham Amps returns to the channel with the MKI Fuzz — Tim Cunningham's take on the iconic Tone Bender MKI circuit. Welcome back to Edge of Breakup.

The Cunningham Amps MKI Fuzz pairs with the Gibson Custom Murphy Lab SG — Righteous Sound RAF A4/A2 Humbuckers — into the Benson Amps Vincent 2x12" with Scumback H75-PVC speakers.

The Tone Bender MKI is the original British fuzz — the 1965 Sola Sound circuit that predates the Fuzz Face and produces a distinctly saggy, compressed, explosive character. Tim Cunningham's take brings vintage-inspired fuzz tone with his own modern refinements — the same raw, expressive attitude that made the original a favorite of the earliest British Invasion players.

Explored from the introduction with Attack cranked and Volume at amp unity, pulling Attack back to noon from 00:59 for a more controlled character, and settling into a genuinely chug-tastic rhythm territory from 01:55. The Righteous Sound RAF A4 neck (~6.9K) and A2 bridge (~7.5K) humbuckers give the MKI a vintage-correct PAF foundation — open and airy in the neck, warm and vintage-voiced in the bridge — that suits the fuzz's saggy, compressed character particularly well.
